The Bunyip

Matties a strong ,brave daily mail deliverer and his best friend Yukha ,meaning tree ,who was better at Matties at everything went delivering mail to a haunted ,black, spooky house covered in green, mossy ivy with big, grey cliffs as big as a mountain surrounding the house with huge
boulders on top. Water was crashing really hard against the unstable cliffs .Trees were in the middle of the water that was as blue as the sky .The trees were shaped like a crooked man, branches were shaped like witches fingers .This was a mysterious place! It was dangerous! This is a place that no one’s ever been to.

After a few seconds when they were putting in the bent daily mail……..Suddenly! A wrinkly, big, freckly hand popped out and opened the door and dragged Matties and Yukha in the man with the wrinkly, big, freckly hand dragged them both up some wooden, brown stairs .He locked Matties and Yukha up in a small, metal cage with dark, blue sea surrounding them was a fierce, angry, blue shark with a spiky, green crocodile with rough skin. Soon Matties’s friend’s came. Matties screamed as loud as he possibly could
“Help someone please help! “
For a minute Matties and Yukha were petrified but when Carlies and Khali Matties’s and yukha’s friends came running quickly up the staircase to the chamber were Matties and Yukha .Carlies and Khali were great warriors however they had no plan of escaping .
Carlies the great warrior saw that there was a lock so Carlies sprinted down the stinky, brown staircase quickly while Carlies was searching for the key that fitted in the lock confidently Carlies the best at fighting strongly defeated the blue shark and the green crocodile .After a few seconds Carlies found the golden small key and rushed up to the chamber Matties, Yukha and Carlies,
unlocked the lock with the small key and shouted altogether
“Yay we did it lets escape”
Down the dusty corridors they, crept quickly down the ruined, rough, dented staircase but when they all got to the chipped door? Suddenly! A ferocious Bunyip quickly jumped out of a dented, brown cupboard its wings were dark red shaped like nachos so when it needed to fly it had it wings .Its tail was as long as two long green snakes its fangs were as white as clouds and as sharp as glass and was hanging from its golden beak.
“Think of a plan girls don’t just stand there think! “Exclaimed Yukha
“I’ve got a plan we fight the Bunyip or get him out of this creepy place out on our self “ said Khali In about half an hour to the fearsome Bunyip , The powerful adults managed to get the terrifying Bunyip out into a very dangerous world he was sleek in this world. It was a human world .Then the sleek Bunyip as sleek as a page from a dictionary its green, scally tail that’s like two snakes long hit the huge, grey unstable cliffs with the mossy damp boulders on fell back onto the horrible, mean terrifying monster.

Yuka and Matties and Khali and Carlies said “we could take a shortcut throughout the forest.”
” What a brilliant idea but I’ve heard that it’s spooky” gasped Khan shivering with fear. “That was in a silly fairy tale or it was either in your dreams” responded Yukha, Matties and Carlies confidently. When they got halfway through the haunted forest bats quirked Kookaburras jumped on the twigs making an awful sound. Damp, decaying leaves fell down off the long,
prickly, brown twigs. Soon they were lost!
Quickly they made a glowing, huge, red fire. After a minute they all thought no one was going to rescue us. “I told you we shouldn’t go this way” moaned Khali. Then they heard people saying loudly. “Any one in there we have come to rescue you?” Soon they all jumped in joy and they all shouted happily “yes yes there are.” After a minute or so the people found them it was Khali
and Carlies tribe. They said in a surprise that it was them “what happened?”
“It’s a long story” said Matties and the others. “Well at least you’re alright
though.” said the tribe. Mysteriously the terrifying Bunyip was seen again but
as a lovely person as the police indictated!!

  1. Excellent highly descriptive and imaginative work - well done Jacques. Lots of love from a proud Mummy and Daddy (who will be locking their bedroom door to avoid the monsters!)
